Ten Fish from Pendle View!!

After the disaster that was Sunnyside I decided to visit the ever popular Pendle View for a few nights in the week, I had taken a load of learning from the experience I had had on Sunnyside and made sure I would not be disturbed.

I chose peg 62 and set up three very simple rigs, basically 12lb ESP Soft Ghost hook links, inline leads and Korda Safe Zone Leaders which I first saw in action at Sunnyside…

I also employed new bait – Richworth’s XLR8. I took 1kg of 15mm baits and 1kg of 18mm baits; I also took the matching pellets for use in PVA bags….

My approach was simple and reflected what I had learned at Sunnyside:

Keep it simple
Keep it basic
Keep it concealed
Keep it pinned down
Bait lightly and often
Don’t do anything complicated
Be patient and have confidence in your methods

The first night was fishless only to be woken in the morning by a 25.5lb Mirror Carp taken from close in. I went on to catch another nine fish including the prestigious “Tango” at 15lb….
